The Opportunity
Spur Line Crop Solutions is seeking a Plant Diversity & Livestock Specialist to support our
growing seed business, represent Covers & Co. across southern Saskatchewan, and help put diverse crop and forage systems into practice on an affiliated farm and ranch.
This is a unique role for someone who enjoys both people and production. Approximately half of the position will focus on developing and supporting the southern Saskatchewan Covers & Co. dealer network. The balance will combine seed sales and operations for Spur Line Crop Solutions with practical grazing and livestock work.
The affiliated farm uses annual and perennial plant diversity, planned grazing, livestock integration, and stockpiled forage. Its livestock enterprises include a cow/calf bison herd, bison finishing, and custom cattle grazing. You will gain direct experience with the systems and products you represent while helping us test what is possible under southern Saskatchewan conditions.
How the Role Is Divided
The position has three connected areas of responsibility:
The weekly split will remain flexible. Time will shift among these areas according to seedsales activity, dealer needs, grazing conditions, livestock demands, and the agricultural season.
Key Responsibilities
What You Bring
We are looking for a practical, organized, and relationship-oriented person with a strong interest in regenerative agriculture. Direct agricultural sales experience is an asset, but it is
not required. Experience in farming, livestock, energy, construction, transportation, or another operational industry may provide a strong foundation for the role.
The successful candidate will bring:
You do not need to arrive with deep experience in every part of the role. We encourage you to apply if you bring sound judgment, a strong work ethic, relevant operational or agricultural knowledge, a willingness to learn, and genuine interest in integrated crop and livestock systems. Product, sales, and systems training will be provided as the successful candidate grows into the position.
Why Join Us?
This position connects agricultural sales with practical implementation. You will help build a community-minded dealer network, serve producers, contribute directly to livestock and grazing operations, and learn from real-world trials using the products and principles you represent.
The work is varied and combines travel, working from home, customer and dealer
relationships, seed operations, and time in the field. Some seasonal and livestock
responsibilities may occur outside standard business hours.
